Charter Date: October 1960
Fifteen members were in the Santa Barbara
chapter when it was charted in October 1960.
It's difficult to keep up with all the ratings earned in the group. Many
of our members are IFR rated, we have instructors, commercial pilots,
several racers, including Powder Puff Derby winners and grandmothers who
just fly for fun.
Everybody pitches in when we have a treasure hunt, a fly-in, a display
at an air show or talk to a class at school. There is almost always someone
who is expert in anything we'd like to have done, and we have a great
time together.
