Charter Date: October 1947 with about 11 members
Chapter member Maude Oldershaw helped develop
of the "Gossamer Condor," world's first successful human-powered
aircraft. This aircraft won the Kremer Award on August 23, 1977. Maude
was the first woman to fly the aircraft. The Condor now hangs in the Smithsonian's
Air and Space Museum.
